Ex Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath has said that he was looking forward to renew his rivalry against Sachin Tendulkar in the Indian Premier League T20 tournament.

"Playing against Sachin Tendulkar is always fascinating for me," McGrath told reporters after a net session with his team Delhi Daredevils.

"He is a class act. Whether it is Test or One-Day he is a genius. But in the T20 format he can be destructive because the game is tilted towards the favour of batsmen," he added.

The legendary bowler said he was excited about playing "this new format of the game".

McGrath, who will play under the captaincy of the explosive Virender Sehwag, said "we are lucky that he is with us".

"Sehwag on his day can destroy any attack. He is a destructive and class player," he added.

McGrath said he was surprised to hear that according to a survey Australian players were interested in taking retirement to play in the IPL.

"It is surprising that Australian players are so fascinated to play in the IPL. But I will be disappointed if they join IPL before playing any international cricket," he added.
