Kolkata will face a tough competition in Chennai : John Buchanan

Kolkata coach John Buchanan has said that dew and toss will be the two major factors in the away match against Chennai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday.

Both Kolkata and Chennai have won their first two matches. Kolkata won the first match of the IPL against Bangalore and then followed it up with a hard-fought win over Hyderabad at home.

Meanwhile, Chennai won their opener against Mohali and then made it two in a row after beating Mumbai.

Buchanan said Chennai was a balanced side both in batting and bowling. He also hinted at playing the winning squad against the hosts.

A final call on West Indies skipper Chris Gayle's fitness will be taken before the match. The Carribbean all-rounder was rested from practice after his arrival due to his groin injury.

Meanwhile, Pakistan imports Umar Gul and Salman Butt have also joined the Kolkata team and Aussie Brad Hodge was expected to team soon.

Ricky Ponting, who is scheduled to leave for Australia after the Kolkata vs Mumbai match on April 29, said Hodge was a fine-all rounder and "will be useful for the shorter version".
