Bangalore Royal Challengers captain Rahul Dravid said that it was the performance on the field and not the entertainment arranged before it that will pull crowds to the inaugural match in Bangalore on Friday.
"If the quality of cricket is good, there will be crowd and not for the entertainment arranged," he said.
Asked about the performance of Washington Cheers team performing on Friday to mark the launch of the tournament, he said: "It is going to be a good game and entertainment. However, the entertainment may not come in the way of players' performance.
"I am looking forward to the game and all other players are also eagerly waiting beginning of the match," he added.
